The house is far too quiet without her. It was nice at first, but now, with the wind howling about the trees outside and the self-playing piano sounding out a few of its atonal tunes downstairs - (why?! How?!) all of a sudden the place feels slightly creepy....La maison est trôp tranquille sans elle (et Zen mama aussi - en fait c'est trop arrangéé sans elle aussi, mais bon....). Au debut, c'était bien, mais maintenant, le vent fait les bruits bizzare dans les abres et le piano qui se joue jouait les notes atonal, (oui, pourquoi?! comment! Je ne sais pas...) la maison me semble haunté.
Now that last word, ('haunté) there can be now way that's a French word.....hmm....dictionary agrees too, but if I just get this pen and....there, between 'haubert' ('a coat of mail' - splendid word) and 'hausse' 'a rise', Haunté 1. (adj.) A place where there are ghosts or phantoms. 2. (vb intr.) to frequent, to stay.
