In January, the tradition in France is to eat a cake called 'La Gallette'. The rest of the year they eat loads of other cakes too, but this one has a little chokey sized toy in it and the person that finds it, after coughing it up or having it surgically removed, is the 'King' or the 'Queen' for the rest of the meal. So for about an hour or so... A strange tradition for a Republican country it's true, and the winner also gets a crown. A bit later on, they are then executed and everyone invades Russia. But we skipped the last bit - the gillotine's a bit rusty.
We bought the swing inside. Boring but true in the wider scheme of things but Amy finds it top fun!
