Je me suis mordue la langue
In my native tongue I meant to say 'I've bitten my tongue'. A right drama Tueseday night. Amy caught her chin under a chair arm while she was sticking out her tongue. Gory panic followed. 
But a day later, and it's all forgotten....

Awww, bitten tongues do hurt.
Top parenting tip, always have an icicle type lolly in the freezer.( can make your own from frozen dilute fruit juice) No nutritional value but very helpful when child is screaming and there is blood in the mouth, sheer novelty value usually stops the crying, for such wonders are rarely seen, plus the cold helps tone down the swelling and remove some blood. We love them.
